Dancy D’Souza is a Survivor of Labor Trafficking and debt bondage in the United States of America. Originally from India, Dancy is educated and has experience in commerce, business management and early childhood education. Dancy came to Cincinnati, OH in 2003 following her husband and partner for a new opportunity for her family and her two young boys. Dancy speaks and shares her family’s horrific past exploitation. She is often times the more silent partner to Harold, but it is clear that she remains a source of stability for her two boys and Harold. Dancy can often times to be found humbly taking a back seat encouraging and promoting her two sons in their absolutely amazing achievements of volunteerism, academics, community involvement and athleticism. Dancy has not only engaged in public speaking herself to promote social justice and an end to human trafficking, but in her true fashion she has quietly encouraged and pushed her husband Harold to reach more audiences and find more opportunities to share their story.
The story of Dancy is a genuine example of what is only possible because of the support we have in our lives. Dancy is compassionate, open and sincere in sharing her struggle as a mother, wife and woman who experienced labor trafficking.
